പാൻ, ഗുട്ക ഉൽപ്പന്നങ്ങളുടെ പരസ്യങ്ങളിൽ അഭിനയിക്കുന്ന സിനിമാ താരങ്ങൾക്കെതിരെ രൂക്ഷ വിമർശനവുമായി മഹാരാഷ്ട്ര ഫുഡ് ആൻഡ് ഡ്രഗ് അഡ്മിനിസ്ട്രേഷൻ കമ്മീഷണർ തുക്കാറാം മുണ്ടെ. പൊതുജനങ്ങളോട് ഒരു ഉൽപ്പന്നം നല്ലതാണെന്ന് പറയുന്നവർ അതേ മാനദണ്ഡം സ്വന്തം കുടുംബത്തിലും പാലിക്കണമെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. പാൻ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഗുട്ക പരസ്യം ചെയ്യുന്നവർ ആദ്യം അത് സ്വയം കഴിക്കണമെന്നും സ്വന്തം കുട്ടികൾക്കും കൊടുത്ത് ശീലമാക്കിയ ശേഷം മറ്റുള്ളവരോട് ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ പറയണമെന്നും മുണ്ടെ ഒരു NDTV പരിപാടിയിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.

ഷാരൂഖ് ഖാൻ, അജയ് ദേവ്ഗൺ, ടൈഗർ ഷ്രോഫ് എന്നിവർ വിമൽ ഏലയ്ച്ചിയുടെ പരസ്യത്തിൽ ബ്രാൻഡ് എൻഡോഴ്സർമാരായി പങ്കെടുത്തതിനെ തുടർന്ന് മഹാരാഷ്ട്ര FDA കാരണം കാണിക്കൽ നോട്ടീസ് നൽകിയ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിലാണ് മുണ്ടെയുടെ പ്രതികരണം. നിരോധിത പാൻ മസാലയുടെയോ പുകയില ഉൽപ്പന്നങ്ങളുടെയോ പരോക്ഷ പ്രചാരണമായി ഈ പരസ്യം മാറിയേക്കാമെന്നാണ് FDAയുടെ ആരോപണം. മഹാരാഷ്ട്രയിൽ പാൻ മസാല ഉൽപ്പന്നങ്ങൾ നിരോധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും FDA ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി.
‘നിർമാതാവിന് മാത്രം ഉത്തരവാദിത്തമല്ല’
പരസ്യത്തിൽ അഭിനയിക്കുന്നവർ ബ്രാൻഡിന്റെ മുഖം മാത്രമാണെന്നും ഉൽപ്പന്നത്തിന്റെ ഉത്തരവാദിത്തം നിർമാതാവിനാണെന്നുമുള്ള വാദവും മുണ്ടെ തള്ളി. ഒരു ഉൽപ്പന്നം ജനങ്ങളോട് ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ ആവശ്യപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ അതെന്താണെന്ന് മനസ്സിലാക്കാനുള്ള ഉത്തരവാദിത്തം പൊതുപ്രവർത്തകർക്കും താരങ്ങൾക്കുമുണ്ടെന്നാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ നിലപാട്. ഭക്ഷണം, മരുന്ന് എന്നിവയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് തെറ്റിദ്ധരിപ്പിക്കുന്ന അവകാശവാദങ്ങൾ നടത്താൻ നിയമം അനുവദിക്കുന്നില്ലെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.
15 ദിവസത്തിനകം വിശദീകരണം ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു
2026 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 11നാണ് Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 പ്രകാരവും ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ചട്ടങ്ങൾ പ്രകാരവും മൂന്ന് താരങ്ങൾക്കും FDA നോട്ടീസ് നൽകിയത്. നോട്ടീസ് ലഭിച്ച് 15 ദിവസത്തിനകം രേഖാമൂലം വിശദീകരണം നൽകാനായിരുന്നു നിർദേശം. മറുപടി നൽകാതിരിക്കുകയോ വിശദീകരണം തൃപ്തികരമല്ലാതിരിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്താൽ നിയമപ്രകാരം തുടർനടപടിയുണ്ടാകുമെന്നും FDA മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നൽകിയിരുന്നു. പിന്നീട് ഷാരൂഖ് ഖാൻ, അജയ് ദേവ്ഗൺ, ടൈഗർ ഷ്രോഫ് എന്നിവർ നോട്ടീസിന് മറുപടി നൽകിയതായി മുണ്ടെ അറിയിച്ചു.
