2026 ജനുവരി മുതൽ മേയ് 22 വരെ അഞ്ച് മാസത്തിനിടെ കേന്ദ്ര റിസർവ് പൊലീസ് സേനയിലെ 19 പേർ ആത്മഹത്യ ചെയ്തെന്ന റിപ്പോർട്ടിൽ ദേശീയ മനുഷ്യാവകാശ കമ്മിഷൻ സ്വമേധയാ കേസെടുത്തു. രാജ്യത്തെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ കേന്ദ്ര സായുധ പൊലീസ് സേനയിലെ ജീവനക്കാരുടെ ജീവിക്കാനുള്ള അവകാശവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ഗുരുതര പ്രശ്നമാണ് ഇതെന്ന് കമ്മിഷൻ വിലയിരുത്തി.
രണ്ടാഴ്ചയ്ക്കകം വിശദമായ റിപ്പോർട്ട് വേണം
കേന്ദ്ര ആഭ്യന്തര മന്ത്രാലയത്തിലെ ആഭ്യന്തര സെക്രട്ടറിക്കും സി.ആർ.പി.എഫ് ഡയറക്ടർ ജനറലിനുമാണ് കമ്മിഷൻ നോട്ടീസ് നൽകിയത്. സംഭവങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള വിശദമായ റിപ്പോർട്ട് രണ്ടാഴ്ചയ്ക്കകം സമർപ്പിക്കണം. ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 11ന് പുറത്തുവന്ന മാധ്യമ റിപ്പോർട്ടും സി.ആർ.പി.എഫ് ശേഖരിച്ച ഔദ്യോഗിക കണക്കുകളും പരിഗണിച്ചാണ് കമ്മിഷന്റെ നടപടി.
അഞ്ചു വർഷത്തിനിടെ 281 ആത്മഹത്യകൾ
കഴിഞ്ഞ അഞ്ച് വർഷത്തിനിടെ സി.ആർ.പി.എഫിലെ 281 പേർ ആത്മഹത്യ ചെയ്തെന്നാണ് പുറത്തുവന്ന കണക്ക്. ഇവരിൽ ഏകദേശം 216 പേർ ഡ്യൂട്ടിയിലിരിക്കെയാണ് ആത്മഹത്യ ചെയ്തത്. 2026 ജനുവരി മുതൽ മേയ് 22 വരെയുള്ള കാലയളവിൽ മാത്രം 19 പേരുടെ ജീവനാണ് നഷ്ടമായത്.
2025ൽ ഏറ്റവും ഉയർന്ന കണക്ക്
2025ൽ 59 സി.ആർ.പി.എഫ് ജീവനക്കാർ ആത്മഹത്യ ചെയ്തു. കഴിഞ്ഞ അഞ്ച് വർഷത്തിനിടയിലെ ഏറ്റവും ഉയർന്ന വാർഷിക കണക്കാണിത്. 2021ൽ 57 പേരും 2022ൽ 43 പേരും 2023ൽ 57 പേരും 2024ൽ 46 പേരുമാണ് ആത്മഹത്യ ചെയ്തത്.
ജീവിക്കാനുള്ള അവകാശത്തിൽ ഗുരുതര ആശങ്ക
മാധ്യമ റിപ്പോർട്ടിലെ വിവരങ്ങൾ ശരിയാണെങ്കിൽ ജീവനക്കാരുടെ ജീവിക്കാനുള്ള അവകാശവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ഗുരുതര മനുഷ്യാവകാശ പ്രശ്നമാണ് ഉയരുന്നതെന്ന് ദേശീയ മനുഷ്യാവകാശ കമ്മിഷൻ വ്യക്തമാക്കി. അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് കേന്ദ്ര ആഭ്യന്തര മന്ത്രാലയത്തിന്റെയും സി.ആർ.പി.എഫിന്റെയും വിശദീകരണം തേടിയത്.
സേനയിലെ ആത്മഹത്യകൾ വീണ്ടും പരിശോധനയിൽ
തുടർച്ചയായി ഉയരുന്ന ആത്മഹത്യാ കണക്കുകളാണ് ഇപ്പോൾ ദേശീയ മനുഷ്യാവകാശ കമ്മിഷന്റെ പരിശോധനയിലേക്ക് എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. രണ്ടാഴ്ചയ്ക്കകം ലഭിക്കുന്ന കേന്ദ്ര ആഭ്യന്തര മന്ത്രാലയത്തിന്റെയും സി.ആർ.പി.എഫിന്റെയും റിപ്പോർട്ടിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലാകും വിഷയത്തിൽ കമ്മിഷന്റെ തുടർനടപടി.
