മഴക്കാലമായിട്ടും ഇന്ത്യയിലെ നഗരങ്ങളിൽ വായുമലിനീകരണം ആശങ്കയായി തുടരുന്നു. ജൂലൈയിൽ പരിശോധിച്ച 256 നഗരങ്ങളിൽ ഏകദേശം 85 ശതമാനത്തിലും സൂക്ഷ്മ പൊടിപടലമായ പി.എം 2.5 ലോകാരോഗ്യ സംഘടനയുടെ സുരക്ഷാ പരിധിയെ മറികടന്നു. 41 നഗരങ്ങൾ മാത്രമാണ് ഒരു ഘനമീറ്റർ വായുവിൽ 15 മൈക്രോഗ്രാം എന്ന ലോകാരോഗ്യ സംഘടനയുടെ പ്രതിദിന മാർഗനിർദേശ പരിധിക്കുള്ളിൽ നിന്നത്. ഊർജ-ശുദ്ധവായു ഗവേഷണ കേന്ദ്രത്തിന്റെ പുതിയ റിപ്പോർട്ടിലാണ് കണ്ടെത്തൽ.
മഴ പെയ്തിട്ടും മലിനീകരണം കുറഞ്ഞില്ല
സാധാരണ മഴക്കാലത്ത് അന്തരീക്ഷത്തിലെ മലിനീകരണം കുറയേണ്ടതാണ്. മഴ വായുവിലെ പൊടിപടലങ്ങളെ താഴേക്ക് എത്തിക്കുന്നതാണ് കാരണം. എന്നാൽ ജൂലൈയിലെ കണക്കുകൾ ഈ പ്രതീക്ഷയ്ക്ക് വിരുദ്ധമാണ്. ദീർഘകാലം പി.എം 2.5 ശ്വസിക്കുന്നത് ഗുരുതര രോഗങ്ങൾക്ക് കാരണമാകാമെന്നും റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടുന്നു.
ശുദ്ധവായു പദ്ധതിയിലെ നഗരങ്ങളും പിന്നിൽ
ദേശീയ ശുദ്ധവായു പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമായ നഗരങ്ങളിലും സ്ഥിതി ആശ്വാസകരമല്ല. പരിശോധിച്ച 91 പദ്ധതി നഗരങ്ങളിൽ 16 എണ്ണം മാത്രമാണ് ലോകാരോഗ്യ സംഘടനയുടെ പി.എം 2.5 പരിധി പാലിച്ചത്. വായുമലിനീകരണം നിയന്ത്രിക്കാൻ 2019 മുതൽ പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി വലിയ തുക ലഭിച്ച നഗരങ്ങളും പട്ടികയിലുണ്ട്.
ഇന്ത്യൻ പരിധിയിൽ ഭൂരിഭാഗവും സുരക്ഷിതം
ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ദേശീയ മാനദണ്ഡം നോക്കുമ്പോൾ സ്ഥിതി വ്യത്യസ്തമാണ്. രാജ്യത്തെ പ്രതിദിന പി.എം 2.5 പരിധി ഒരു ഘനമീറ്ററിൽ 60 മൈക്രോഗ്രാമാണ്. ഇത് ലോകാരോഗ്യ സംഘടനയുടെ മാർഗനിർദേശ പരിധിയുടെ നാലിരട്ടിയാണ്. ജൂലൈയിൽ പരിശോധിച്ച 256 നഗരങ്ങളിൽ 240 എണ്ണം ഇന്ത്യൻ മാനദണ്ഡത്തിനുള്ളിലായിരുന്നു.
ഏറ്റവും മലിനം ബിഹാറിലെ ഔറംഗാബാദ്
ജൂലൈയിൽ രാജ്യത്തെ ഏറ്റവും മലിനമായ നഗരം ബിഹാറിലെ ഔറംഗാബാദാണ്. ഇവിടെ ശരാശരി പി.എം 2.5 ഒരു ഘനമീറ്ററിൽ 168 മൈക്രോഗ്രാമായിരുന്നു. നിരീക്ഷിച്ച 28 ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ 21 ദിവസവും ഇന്ത്യൻ പരിധിയായ 60 മൈക്രോഗ്രാമിന് മുകളിലായിരുന്നു മലിനീകരണം. ബിഹാറിലെ മംഗുരാഹയാണ് രണ്ടാം സ്ഥാനത്ത്. ഇവിടെ ശരാശരി 96 മൈക്രോഗ്രാം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി.
ഏറ്റവും ശുദ്ധമായ വായു ഡോംബിവ്ലിയിൽ
ജൂലൈയിൽ ഏറ്റവും ശുദ്ധമായ വായു രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയത് മഹാരാഷ്ട്രയിലെ ഡോംബിവ്ലിയിലാണ്. ഇവിടെ ശരാശരി പി.എം 2.5 ഒരു ഘനമീറ്ററിൽ നാല് മൈക്രോഗ്രാം മാത്രമായിരുന്നു. അഞ്ച് മൈക്രോഗ്രാം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയ ഛത്തീസ്ഗഢിലെ കുഞ്ചെമുറയാണ് തൊട്ടുപിന്നിൽ. ഇന്ത്യൻ ദേശീയ പരിധി മറികടന്ന നഗരങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണത്തിൽ ഹരിയാനയാണ് മുന്നിൽ.
