കർണാടകയിലെ കല്യാണ കർണാടക മേഖലയിലെ അഞ്ച് വയസ്സിന് താഴെയുള്ള കുട്ടികളിൽ പോഷകാഹാരക്കുറവ് രൂക്ഷമെന്ന് പുതിയ കണക്കുകൾ. NFHS 2023-24 റിപ്പോർട്ട് പ്രകാരം ബിദർ ഒഴികെയുള്ള മേഖലയിലെ ജില്ലകളിൽ 40 ശതമാനത്തിലധികം കുട്ടികൾക്ക് പ്രായത്തിനനുസരിച്ചുള്ള ശരീരഭാരമില്ല. റായ്ചൂരിലാണ് സ്ഥിതി ഏറ്റവും ഗുരുതരം. അങ്കണവാടികളിലുള്ള 2,38,903 കുട്ടികളിൽ 49.5 ശതമാനം പേർ ഭാരക്കുറവുള്ളവരാണ്. സംസ്ഥാന ശരാശരി 27.8 ശതമാനം മാത്രമാണ്.
കലബുറഗിയിൽ 44.6 ശതമാനം
കലബുറഗിയിൽ 3,16,899 കുട്ടികളിൽ 44.6 ശതമാനം പേരും ഭാരക്കുറവുള്ളവരാണ്. കൊപ്പളിൽ 44.1 ശതമാനവും യാദ്ഗിറിൽ 43.1 ശതമാനവും ബല്ലാരിയിൽ 42.7 ശതമാനവുമാണ്. ബിദറിൽ ഇത് 31.7 ശതമാനമാണ്. കല്യാണ കർണാടകയ്ക്ക് പുറത്തുള്ള വിജയപുരയിൽ 45.3 ശതമാനം കുട്ടികൾക്ക് ഭാരക്കുറവുണ്ടെന്നും റിപ്പോർട്ട് പറയുന്നു.
കലബുറഗി ഡിവിഷനിൽ 43 ശതമാനം
ഡിവിഷൻ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലുള്ള കണക്കിലും കലബുറഗിയാണ് മുന്നിൽ. കലബുറഗി ഡിവിഷനിൽ 43 ശതമാനം കുട്ടികൾക്ക് ഭാരക്കുറവുണ്ട്. ബെലഗാവിയിൽ 33.8 ശതമാനവും ബെംഗളൂരുവിൽ 24.28 ശതമാനവും മൈസൂരുവിൽ 22.36 ശതമാനവുമാണ്. 2024 ഫെബ്രുവരി 23 മുതൽ ഒക്ടോബർ 24 വരെയാണ് സർവേയുടെ ഫീൽഡ് വർക്ക് നടന്നത്.
മുട്ടയും വാഴപ്പഴവും നൽകിയിട്ടും പ്രശ്നം
റായ്ചൂരിലെ പോഷകാഹാരക്കുറവ് പഠിക്കാൻ കർണാടക സർക്കാർ നേരത്തെ റിട്ടയേർഡ് ഹൈക്കോടതി ജഡ്ജി ജസ്റ്റിസ് എൻ.കെ. പാട്ടീലിനെ നിയോഗിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഉച്ചഭക്ഷണത്തിനൊപ്പം മുട്ടയും വാഴപ്പഴവും നൽകണമെന്നായിരുന്നു പ്രധാന ശുപാർശ. അങ്കണവാടികളിൽ ആഴ്ചയിൽ രണ്ടുദിവസം മുട്ട നൽകുന്നുണ്ടെന്നും ഭാരക്കുറവുള്ള കുട്ടികൾക്ക് ആഴ്ചയിൽ മൂന്ന് മുതൽ നാലുദിവസം വരെ മുട്ട നൽകുന്നുണ്ടെന്നും ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ പറയുന്നു. എന്നിട്ടും ഉയർന്ന തോതിലുള്ള ഭാരക്കുറവ് തുടരുകയാണ്.
പിന്നാക്കാവസ്ഥ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ മേഖലയിലും
കല്യാണ കർണാടകയിലെ പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ പോഷകാഹാരത്തിൽ മാത്രം ഒതുങ്ങുന്നില്ല. അധ്യാപകരുടെ കുറവ് കാരണം മേഖലയിലെ പല ജില്ലകളും എസ്എസ്എൽസി റാങ്കിങ്ങിൽ പിന്നിലാണ്. കലബുറഗി സർവകലാശാലയിലെ ഏകദേശം 30 വകുപ്പുകളിലായി 25 സ്ഥിരം അധ്യാപകർ മാത്രമാണുള്ളതെന്നും റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടുന്നു. ആവശ്യത്തിനനുസരിച്ച് പ്രത്യേക ഗ്രാന്റുകൾ നൽകുകയും പദ്ധതികളുടെ നടത്തിപ്പ് തുടർച്ചയായി നിരീക്ഷിക്കുകയും വേണമെന്ന് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ വിദഗ്ധർ ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്നു.
