രാജ്യത്തെ ശുചീകരണ തൊഴിലാളികളുടെ സുരക്ഷയും സാമൂഹിക സംരക്ഷണവും ഉറപ്പാക്കുന്ന നമസ്തേ പദ്ധതിയിൽ 3.71 ലക്ഷത്തിലധികം പേരെ സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചു. 89,915 മലിനജലക്കുഴി–സെപ്റ്റിക് ടാങ്ക് തൊഴിലാളികളും 2,81,117 മാലിന്യ ശേഖരണ തൊഴിലാളികളുമാണ് പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമായത്. കേന്ദ്ര സാമൂഹികനീതി മന്ത്രാലയം ജൂലൈ 19നാണ് പുതിയ കണക്കുകൾ പുറത്തുവിട്ടത്.
അപകടകരമായ ശുചീകരണം ഒഴിവാക്കും
സാമൂഹികനീതി–ശാക്തീകരണ മന്ത്രാലയവും ഭവന–നഗരകാര്യ മന്ത്രാലയവും ചേർന്നാണ് പദ്ധതി നടപ്പാക്കുന്നത്. മലിനജലക്കുഴികളും സെപ്റ്റിക് ടാങ്കുകളും തൊഴിലാളികൾ നേരിട്ട് ഇറങ്ങി വൃത്തിയാക്കുന്ന അപകടകരമായ രീതി അവസാനിപ്പിക്കുകയാണ് ലക്ഷ്യം. യന്ത്രങ്ങൾ ഉപയോഗിച്ചുള്ള ശുചീകരണത്തിലേക്ക് രാജ്യത്തെ പൂർണമായി മാറ്റാനാണ് സർക്കാർ ശ്രമം.
സുരക്ഷാ കിറ്റുകളും ആരോഗ്യ കാർഡുകളും
മലിനജലക്കുഴി–സെപ്റ്റിക് ടാങ്ക് തൊഴിലാളികൾക്ക് 87,037 വ്യക്തിഗത സുരക്ഷാ കിറ്റുകൾ വിതരണം ചെയ്തു. മാലിന്യ ശേഖരണ തൊഴിലാളികൾക്ക് 1,84,118 കിറ്റുകളും നൽകി. 76,845 ശുചീകരണ തൊഴിലാളികൾക്കും 1,04,729 മാലിന്യ ശേഖരണ തൊഴിലാളികൾക്കും ആരോഗ്യ കാർഡുകൾ ലഭിച്ചു.
ചികിത്സ മുതൽ തൊഴിൽസഹായം വരെ
ആയുഷ്മാൻ ഭാരത് പരിരക്ഷ, ആരോഗ്യ ഇൻഷുറൻസ്, തൊഴിൽ സുരക്ഷാ പരിശീലനം, നൈപുണ്യ വികസനം എന്നിവ പദ്ധതിയിലൂടെ നൽകുന്നു. സ്വയംതൊഴിൽ തുടങ്ങാനുള്ള സാമ്പത്തിക സഹായവും ആധുനിക ശുചീകരണ ഉപകരണങ്ങളും ലഭ്യമാക്കും. സ്വയംസഹായ സംഘങ്ങളിലൂടെ പുതിയ ഉപജീവന അവസരങ്ങളും ഒരുക്കും.
അടിയന്തര യൂണിറ്റുകൾക്ക് ആധുനിക ഉപകരണങ്ങൾ
രാജ്യത്തെ 753 അടിയന്തര ശുചീകരണ പ്രതികരണ യൂണിറ്റുകളിൽ ആധുനിക സുരക്ഷാ ഉപകരണങ്ങൾ സജ്ജമാക്കി. അപകടകരമായ മാലിന്യങ്ങളുമായി തൊഴിലാളികൾ നേരിട്ട് ബന്ധപ്പെടുന്നത് ഒഴിവാക്കുകയും ശുചീകരണ ജോലിക്കിടയിലെ മരണങ്ങൾ പൂർണമായി ഇല്ലാതാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുകയാണ് പദ്ധതിയുടെ പ്രധാന ലക്ഷ്യം.
സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുമായി ചേർന്ന് പദ്ധതി വ്യാപിപ്പിക്കും
സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ, കേന്ദ്രഭരണ പ്രദേശങ്ങൾ, നഗര തദ്ദേശ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയുമായി ചേർന്ന് യന്ത്രവത്കൃത ശുചീകരണം കൂടുതൽ മേഖലകളിലേക്ക് വ്യാപിപ്പിക്കും. ശുചീകരണ തൊഴിലാളികൾക്ക് അന്തസ്സോടെയും സുരക്ഷയോടെയും ജോലി ചെയ്യാനുള്ള സാഹചര്യം ഒരുക്കുമെന്ന് കേന്ദ്ര സാമൂഹികനീതി മന്ത്രി ഡോ. വീരേന്ദ്ര കുമാർ പറഞ്ഞു.
