രാജ്യത്തെ പത്ത് ലക്ഷത്തിലധികം ജനസംഖ്യയുള്ള 46 വൻനഗരങ്ങളിൽ 2025-ലെ തൊഴിലില്ലായ്മ നിരക്ക് 4.9 ശതമാനമാണെന്ന് ദേശീയ സ്ഥിതിവിവരക്കണക്ക് ഓഫീസ് റിപ്പോർട്ട്. മറ്റ് നഗരപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലെ 4.7 ശതമാനത്തേക്കാൾ ഇത് നേരിയ തോതിൽ കൂടുതലാണ്. മികച്ച ശമ്പളവും കൂടുതൽ സ്ഥിരം ജോലികളും ലഭ്യമായിട്ടും വൻനഗരങ്ങൾക്ക് ആവശ്യമായ തോതിൽ പുതിയ തൊഴിലവസരങ്ങൾ സൃഷ്ടിക്കാനാകുന്നില്ലെന്നാണ് റിപ്പോർട്ട് വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നത്.
ശമ്പളവും സ്ഥിരം ജോലിയും കൂടുതൽ
വൻനഗരങ്ങളിലെ 58.5 ശതമാനം തൊഴിലാളികൾ സ്ഥിരം ശമ്പളമോ വേതനമോ ലഭിക്കുന്ന ജോലികളിലാണ്. മറ്റ് നഗരപ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ ഇത് 42.9 ശതമാനമാണ്. ദിവസവേതന തൊഴിലാളികളുടെ വിഹിതം വൻനഗരങ്ങളിൽ 6.3 ശതമാനമാണെങ്കിൽ മറ്റ് നഗരങ്ങളിൽ 14.4 ശതമാനമാണ്. സ്വയംതൊഴിൽ ചെയ്യുന്നവരുടെ ശരാശരി പ്രതിമാസ വരുമാനം 30,858 രൂപയും സ്ഥിരം ശമ്പളക്കാരുടെ വരുമാനം 28,808 രൂപയുമാണ്. ഇവ രണ്ടും ദേശീയ നഗര ശരാശരിയേക്കാൾ കൂടുതലാണ്.
സ്ത്രീകളുടെ പങ്കാളിത്തം ഉയർന്നു
വൻനഗരങ്ങളിലെ തൊഴിൽസേനാ പങ്കാളിത്ത നിരക്ക് 2017-18ലെ 47.7 ശതമാനത്തിൽ നിന്ന് 2025ൽ 52.4 ശതമാനമായി ഉയർന്നു. സ്ത്രീകളുടെ തൊഴിൽസേനാ പങ്കാളിത്തം 19.8 ശതമാനത്തിൽ നിന്ന് 27.2 ശതമാനമായും തൊഴിലുള്ള സ്ത്രീകളുടെ വിഹിതം 17.9 ശതമാനത്തിൽ നിന്ന് 25.5 ശതമാനമായും വർധിച്ചു. സ്ത്രീകൾ നടത്തുന്ന സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണത്തിലും ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ വർധനയുണ്ടെന്ന് റിപ്പോർട്ട് പറയുന്നു.
സമ്പദ്വ്യവസ്ഥയുടെ പ്രധാന കേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ
രാജ്യത്തെ കോർപ്പറേറ്റ് ഇതര കാർഷികേതര മേഖലയുടെ മൊത്തം സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിൽ 13 ശതമാനം മാത്രമാണ് ഈ 46 വൻനഗരങ്ങളിലുള്ളത്. എന്നാൽ തൊഴിലാളികളുടെ 16 ശതമാനവും മൊത്തം മൂല്യവർധനയുടെ 21 ശതമാനവും ഇവിടങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നാണ്. കൊൽക്കത്ത, സൂറത്ത്, ഗ്രേറ്റർ ഹൈദരാബാദ് എന്നിവ സംരംഭക പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിൽ മുന്നിലാണ്. വൻനഗരങ്ങൾ ഉയർന്ന ഉൽപ്പാദനക്ഷമതയും മികച്ച തൊഴിൽ നിലവാരവും നൽകുന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിലും തൊഴിലില്ലായ്മ കുറയ്ക്കുന്നതിൽ ഇനിയും വെല്ലുവിളി നിലനിൽക്കുന്നുവെന്നാണ് റിപ്പോർട്ടിന്റെ വിലയിരുത്തൽ.
